To wrap up the La Jolla trip, I headed a little farther north to Solana Beach and Del Mar for the final round: sunset vs sunrise.
This stretch felt calmer and more spread out than La Jolla - longer walks, fewer people early on, and wide open views in both directions. The light did what it always does near the water: the closer the sun gets to the horizon, the faster everything changes.
If you have an extra morning (or evening) in San Diego, this is a great place to spend it. Easy pace, great access, and plenty of space to just keep moving and seeing what shows up.
