First Light on the Bay

Before this year, I’d only been to San Diego twice in the past decade. Then somehow, I found myself here twice in January.
My last photo series was from La Jolla - all beaches, parks, and that quiet, suburban stretch of coastline.
Downtown San Diego felt like a completely different place. This new series starts with just a few calm minutes along the bay - birds on the rocks, soft water, and the first light catching the edges of the skyline before the city fully filled in.
A quiet beginning… before the day shifted across the water to Coronado.
