After a chilly-but-rewarding sunrise at Windansea Beach, a long walk north from the far end of Windansea, through La Jolla Village, across UCSD, and up to Gliderport, logging over 15 miles on foot and climbing the equivalent of 79 flights of stairs.
Long views, steep cliffs, clean lines, and a constant change in perspective as you move north along the coast. When the pier first comes into view, it seems much closer than it actually is… at least when you’re doing it on foot.
The best advice I can give here is to keep walking. Don’t underestimate how much a small change in elevation or angle can completely shift the scene.
