I’ve been to San Diego a few times, but last week was the first time I slowed down enough to explore La Jolla and photograph the coastline along with the wildlife that lives on it.
La Jolla Cove is many things all at once - calm and busy, quiet and loud, and very much alive. Sea lions everywhere, birds stacked on the rocks, and plenty of signs reminding you where access stops.
If you’re visiting this area: expect crowds, limited space near the water, and views on views. There’s plenty to see, and it’s all worth the walk… just plan to move slowly and give yourself time to observe.
