Paris doesn’t rush you. It just stays beautiful and draws you in.

We spent the better part of a day wandering through the Louvre… the size of it is hard to believe until you realize you’re completely turned around, not knowing which floor you’re on or even which wing you’re in.

Caught the Eiffel Tower’s light show (twice) from Place du Trocadéro, along with what felt like half the city.

Versailles was exactly what you’d expect: over-the-top in every direction. The secondary name for this place could easily be “No wonder the French revolted.”

Walked up to and around Montmartre (that was a 37-flights-of-stairs day for us!), taking in the breathtaking views of the city and wandering just a few of its many alleys.

Notre Dame still wears its restoration - with scaffolding and cranes framing parts of the façade - but even under scaffolding it’s powerful to see in person.
