This was just a quick stopover between Venice and Athens. We took a taxi straight from the airport to Römerberg square, arriving before the town was fully awake… even most breakfast spots were still closed. As the morning warmed, the square filled with locals and visitors.

To escape the bustle, we wandered down to the river and crossed the Main, where the skyline came into view. What stood out most was the contrast - medieval half-timbered buildings and historic churches framed against sleek skyscrapers, making Frankfurt feel like two cities layered into one.
